The Poet Recites

October 18, 2012 As of this morning, the project on Voordekunst.nl to film important Dutch poems was 112% over its goal, with a total of €8.435 raised through 147 donations. And there are still 32 days to go! Dutch Poet Laureate Ramsey Nasr now has enough to film twenty poetry clips, and more information on what will happen with the additional funds they receive will follow shortly on the updates page.

Upon reaching 100%, Nasr posted the following update: “I just want to say how unbelievably happy I am with the enormous amount of donations we’ve received! Thanks to your contribution, we have reached our target amount of 7.500 euros, meaning that in November we can get rolling! Additionally, I've also been overwhelmed by the comments that you, as contributors, have posted: it gives us a great feeling of support, and indicates that Dichter Draagt Voor is really worth the effort. From the whole Dichter Draagt Voor team: thank you!”
