World Poetry Movement and 100,000 Poets for Change: 24 September

The World Poetry Movement was founded in July this year in Medellin, in Colombia, during the course of meetings between directors of poetry festivals around the world.
Over 80 international poetry festivals and hundreds of poets from around the world have joined the movement, which aims to increase mutual cooperation between poets and poetry organisers around the world.
The World Poetry Movement, along with the organisation 100,000 Poets for Change, calls on all its members, poets and international poetry festivals from around the world βto plan, develop and spread poetic actions and simultaneous poetry readings on September 24th, 2011, to consolidate our organizational process, making a formidable display of poetic power possible in the world, in hundreds of cities and villages on Earth.β
