Annual tanka recital in Japan's Imperial Palace

January 14, 2011 On January 14, the annual New Year’s recital of tanka poetry, this year centred around the theme of ‘leaves’ took place at the Imperial Palace in Japan.

Authors of the tanka poems included members of the Imperial Family and people whose poems were chosen from thousands of submissions.
