Randall Couch wins the 2009 Corneliu M Popescu Prize for Poetry in Translation

November 23, 2009 Awarded biennially since 2003, the Corneliu M Popescu Prize for poetry in translation celebrates the best collections of poetry translated from European languages into English. This year Professor Randall Couch took the winning prize of £1,500 for his translation of Gabriela Mistral's Madwomen.

The judges were poets Elaine Feinstein and Stephen Romer, both of whom will shortly be featured in the December issue of PIW.
