Would you like to write a poem but don't know how to do it? Or have you been writing for a while and are you ready for new inspiration and writing assignments? Together with Bibliotheek Ommoord, Poetry International organizes a monthly Poetry Café!
Under the guidance of experienced poet and teacher Daniela Jerez, you will learn all about poetry, how to write, where you get your inspiration from and most importantly: Daniela will give you inspiring writing assignments. If you feel like writing poetry in a relaxed atmosphere... then come along! No experience necessary!

Meet your teacher
Daniela Montoya Jerez is a spoken word artist and teaches English and Spanish literature. She has a great passion for language and is an enthusiastic storyteller, preferably through poetic prose. Her poems reflect her deep connection to life, stories and words, and explore the nuances of identity and emotional duality in her dual life between Colombia and the Netherlands. Daniela has performed her Dutch poetry on various stages, strengthening her presence in the Dutch poetry scene.
