A body IN poetry
In the work of all the poets who are part of this year's festival, the body plays an important role. Sometimes the body is implicit in the words, but often it is explicit. Poets engage with their bodies in their work; they articulate aspects of the body and what they feel in ways that will be recognizable to many readers. The body can be lacking; the body can also defy. The body can see, hear, smell, feel, store memories and trauma. During this program, guests will explore the importance and role of the body in their poetry.
