New Voices

Dutch-language poetry is doing well, and this past year once again yielded a rich harvest of debut collections that set much in motion.  As is the case every year, the C. Buddingh' prize for the best debut will be awarded during the festival, but who are the poets behind these collections? In New Voices, Teddy Tops will talk to the nominees and ask them about their work, their motivations and their view of the state of Dutch poetry today. What does it mean to debut in the current literary climate? What is the significance of an award nomination? And what ambitions lie as a dot on the horizon?
