C Buddingh’ prize goes to Willem Thies

28 juni 2006 During the 37th Poetry International Festival in Rotterdam, the C. Buddingh' prize for new Dutch language poetry 2006 was won by Willem Thies for his debut Toendra, published by Uitgeverij 521. The jury members were Albertina Soepboer, Anton Korteweg and Michaël Vandenbril; the prize is worth 1,200 euros.
