Jan Lauwereyns wins the 2012 VSB Poetry Prize

The collection Hemelsblauw (Sky Blue) by Belgian poet Jan Lauwereyns has been awarded the VSB Poetry Prize, which is awarded annually for a Dutch-language collection. The four other nominees for the prize were: Peter Ghyssaert, Willem Jan Otten, Erik Spinoy and Anne Vegter.
Jan Lauwereyns received €25,000 and a glass sculpture by Maria Roosen in a ceremony on 25 January at the Nikolaïkerk in Utrecht.
