PIW translator Jeffrey Angles wins award

15 april 2010 Jeffrey Angles, whose translations of Japanese poet Tatsuji Miyoshi appear in the current PIW issue, was recently awarded the Japan-US Friendship Commission Prize for the Translation of Japanese Literature, for his forthcoming book of poems by Tada Chimako. We hope to feature these poems and Jeffrey’s translations in a future PIW Japan issue.
