Poetry and Black History Month

16 februari 2010 Black History Month is  celebrated annually in the month of February in the USA and in October in the UK. The event is a commemoration of notable people and events in relation to the history of the African diaspora. Several poetry contests, poetry slams and open mic nights are being held across the USA to celebrate Black History Month.
