The revolutionary poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz

11 februari 2010 Saturday February 13th will mark the day of Faiz’s 99th birth anniversary. Faiz was well known for his Urdu and Punjabi poetry. To Dr. Rashid Hameed, Director General from the Pakistan Academy of Letters, Faiz’s poetry is “like a beacon of light for the oppressed segments of the society and the voice of the poor people’s conscience”.
